BlogTour London with Modenus!
Whilst in Londinium, there is a whole WACK of design shows and events that myself and 11 other design-writers (pish-poshing up the term "bloggers" eff. immed.) are attending. Here are the other design-writers, in no particular order:
Holly Hollingsworth Phillips @ The English Room, Charlotte NC U.S.A. (I mean, that name alone... future BFF.)
Richard Rabel @ The Modern Sybarite, NY NY USA (He's gonna see who says "eh" more often, me or Leanne.)
Jessica Gordan Ryan @ The Entertaining House, TX USA maybe? (I wanna see the flip-flops and ball gown)
Marilyn Russell @ Design Magnifique, Winter Garden FL USA (#Blogger19 Alum, love her.)
Lisa Kahn @ Lisa Kahn Design Group, Naples FL USA (We're gonna get in Twitter jail together. Just wait.)
Rita Catinella Orrell @ Designy Things or Architects Toy Box, NJ USA (Two blogs. Watch out!)
Ann Porter @ KitchAnn Style, Naples FL USA (#Blogger19 Alum, love her too.)
Laurie Laizure @ Customized Walls, USA (Founder of the Interior Design Community on G+, amaze.)
Laura Bielecki @ Luxury Interiors, Dubai (#Blogger19 Alum, also, love her.)
Lisa Mende @ Lisa Mende Design, USA (#Blogger19 Alum, you guessed it, love.)
Courtney Lake @ Courtney Out Loud, SF CA USA (Kinda think we're cut from the same cloth.)
That's quite the list. Just wait until you see the sponsors of this amazing thing that I haven't even wrapped my head around yet.
I met Veronika Miller @ Modenus, what feels like ages ago now, in New York for Fashion Week with Brizo's second ever Blogger19. It was amazing. The connections, the relationships, the business chatter, the design talks, and then the exposure to all this over visual stimulation was over the top. I think it was this trip that literally changed the way I think about design and my clients, and Veronika explicitly get's that. This is not her first BlogTour, there have been others, and they get better with age.
BLANCO, as you know, is a huge proponent of my business and products that I specify; I'm so grateful for their participation in BlogTour. Not only am I privileged to be a part of the BLANCO Kitchen Design Council and contribute to Rethink the Sink, I am honoured to be included in this group of active professionals and kitchen-style-makers. If you missed their most amazing product in my KBIS Designer Studios here is MODEX again; naked, raw, and indulgent.
I want.
Here's a brand that I have not had much exposure to but I am equally excited to get my designer-fingers in the pie with. Gessi is an Italian brand and it is the polar opposite of the BLANCO style with its' biomorphic shapes, organic styles, and smooth lines. It is sculptural, surreal, technical, and euphoric. Check out the Goccia faucet for your bath:
Not many can handle the sensuality of this type of product, but this is the way of the future.
Mr. Steam. I think this video say's all there is to be said.
Not a lot of people know that Poggenpol was really the first cabinetry manufacturer to take product to market that was standardized casework. It revolutionized the kitchen and bath industry.
Epic. (At this point in this post, I'm wondering how I'm going to get everyone in here.)
Now I always say that cabinet hardware is the jewlery of the kitchen, but Du Verre hardware exemplifies this. Well designed, hand crafted, and maybe even frickin #Canadian! Really, this stuff is GORG!
A little gob-smacked. (And freaking out because this is too much already. How am I going to remember all these great products?!?)
Over at Design Junction, Laufen has collaborated with Kartell to produce a line of SaphirKeramik that blend the manufacturing processes of Kartell with ceramic materials ending in an extremely strong material. "this means that products can be made using less material and consequently makes lighter products with thinner walls - this impacts the environment through production, shipping and even for the installers."
Swish swish.
There are more sponsors, products, experiences and connections to be had of this amazing opportunity, so I encourage you to stay close to my Instrgram and Twitter if you're missing me. Hit up the hashtag #BlogTourLDN to find out what's going on. Pip pip, cheerio!
