An estimated 2.4 billion people – one out of every three in the world today – live without access to proper sanitation. 950 million still defecate in the open on a daily basis. These are figures with a devastating human cost: 800 children under five years of age are estimated to die every day from diarrheal diseases caused by a lack of clean water and sanitary living conditions. These statistics, when you really sit down and think about it, are staggering and shocking. It really makes me think about what my priorities are as a human being walking this earth and that there has to be something I, or even my Team and I, can do every day. 

World Toilet Day is Saturday, November 19, 2016 and we are co-conspiring to bring awareness to the world's sanitation crisis. The Design Team and I wanted to share the best toilets we've found and love working with in Bathroom Design projects. Let me tell you about SaTo and Flush For Good, an amazing project by American Standard. I first heard about this project when AS launched their luxury line, DXV. Being one of the inaugural Design Panelists, and really you could not be more proud of a big brand with over 150 years under their belt.

So, in light of world affairs, isn't it a basic human right to do it in a loo? We think so.
