I love this part. #dunbarproject

The interiors have pretty much wrapped up at the Dunbar Project and the team is pretty much putting all the last little finishing touches that always seem to catch up with all of us at the end of any large project. I swear, there should be a guy/gal to manage just the end of the project sometimes because none of us can really remember the things we did eight months ago. Crazy times. As much as I dream for every client to provide an approved FF&E budget (the pretty stuff) it is not always possible immediately so it becomes a work in progress. Work done in phases can be a beautiful thing. One of the last finishing touches always seems to be window coverings for me.

For this project, I focused on the original theme of "Classic Chic" that the clients and I established early on. While we did increase the square footage of the whole home, we did not pour new footings and create an addition. The semi-private floor plans still provided for intimate entertaining spaces, but a huge social kitchen, and without the scale and drama of a 10,000 square foot sprawling Surrey home. As a result, the window treatment was kept simple with romans and one big mammoth valance and drapery for the master.

The custom roman shades in the Living Room. That's a bit of a taped edge in Joanne Fabrics Whisper black on their same Fate.

The Master Bathroom has the same roman valance treatment, Classic Chic, but it sets off the calacutta tile and the Robert Abbey lighting nicely.

Like a sausage in it's casing, drapery is delicate and delectable.

The valance is up in the Master Bedroom. Holy molly it was HUGE!

Ah, look at that piping detail around the whole upholstered valance. I mean, really. That detail is everywhere in the home already, what a perfect special little detail.

Clearly there will be more magazine worthy shots of this project to come.
