The University of British Columbia is located down from West Point Grey overlooking English Bay. One of the ways it is a great resource is their horticultural programs and store where you can find unique elements and inspirations for your gardens

Arbutus Greenway.

While training for the Tour de Cure we have found some great cycling routes. This landmark started life as a railway line that some still have a living memory of. Now it has become a 9 km artery for both walking and cycling in line with Arbutus St. Eventually connecting Vancouver with Richmond.

The Rhododendron Walk.

One of our favourite parts of Stanley park is the Ted + Mary Greig Rhododendron Garden. It is a rewarding walk any time between March and September. The Rhodo’s are pretty spectacular when they are in bloom.

The Seawall.

Wrapping around most of the shoreline of the city is our 28 km long seawall. Whether you are walking or cycling there is a place for you to enjoy the water views. It connects so many municipal neighbourhoods together.

Thierry on Alberni

At the heart of the city is a perfect sweet spot + café. As a patiserie it is one of the best in the Lower Mainland. They are open late with a year round patio and have locations in Ambleside and Mount Pleasant.

Miko Sushi

This hole in a wall restaurant is a bit of a local institution. The walls are full of autographed reviews from prominent past diners. It is as genuine as you can get.

Corey Klassen (he/they) is the only CMKBD, Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer and NCIDQ certified interior designer in Metro Vancouver providing services across British Columbia. Corey started Articulated Design Studio in 2011 (formerly Corey Klassen Interior Design) and has been a respected member of the design community ever since. Their resume of projects includes brand collaborations with DXV by American Standard, Mr Steam, and BLANCO.

A kitchen designed in Corey’s vision is crisp, integrated, and honest no matter the style. Typical finishes and materials will centre around a contemporary hidden hardware and appliances, secret storage spaces, and a pragmatic tile-work design cumulating in an approach that says, “Less, really is more”.

Working with Corey is straight-forward and he will work on the technical aspects of your dream kitchen to align with your goals utilising a deep respect for culinary culture.

They are a professor at LaSalle College Vancouver in the Bachelor of Applied Design in Interior Design program. They have taught emerging designers in post-secondary education for over a decade as well as created education opportunities for designers in their journey of life long learning. Not only have we been a client. We are a fan of re-using pieces in our projects. This gem of an artisan and weaver regularly travels across Canada. Allowing Canadians along her route to have their heirlooms and mid century pieces re-caned.
