Looking in and away from the mirror: 2015

CK_in_Veranda.jpg

Recently I shared some tidbits about what Christmas means to me and I think you'll all agree by now that my memory is pretty sharp and I savour the fun times. This past holiday period I've been able to get away and turn the business off and it was amazing what creativity flooded in. Nothing short of a miracle, to say the least. It's been a banner year for me. The DXV by American Standard launch has certainly projected this little design firm into plains of new ideas, projects, and contacts. I'm ever grateful for the hand that selected me - whomever you may be - but most of all I'm grateful for the results of hard work, dedication, and passion. I've taken home 4 awards this year, locally and internationally. We also have an extreme backlog of photography and portfolio updates...

We switched accounting software; it's kind of nice but it's not "creative user" friendly and it's extremely time consuming. So, we are switching again, this is a frustration and if you're reading this and available to help - CALL ME. If you're a business owner, you know how big this is.

The gratitude list is long and there are many checkboxes that weren't there at the end of 2013, but really I'm kind of excited to share this spot from Veranda Magazine Jan/Feb 2015 on the Invite pages.

These people are awesome. They're genuine. They are the game changes of the design industry (myself included!)

Here are some of the best moments:
