A day with DXV is anything but standard

This past week I have been out in New York with the team at DXV by American Standard. It's awesome to sit with Cheryl, Marilyn, Mary, Meredith, Susan, and Veroika Miller, Curator-In-Chief and CEO of Modenus, with the DXV product design and development team to share my interpretation and (sometimes) opinion of the cool things that DXV is doing. Although the launch isn't officially until September, Jay Gould, CEO and President of American Standard, had an amazing brain-trust beneath him supporting every move. And he's not done yet because there is some more cool stuff coming.

Here's what I learned during our Design Panel focus group: 1. There is a PhD. in Fluid Motion Dynamics. Seriously. I want to pick that brain 2. I actually tried the AT200 Integrated Bidet Toilet and IT WAS AMAZING! WHY DON'T WE ALL HAVE THESE IN EVERY BATHROOM!?!? It nearly made me miss the trip back to Manhattan but the heated seat was worth every single second 3. 3D Printing will soon allow customized plumbing fittings. Wow! 4. The toilet noise has everything to do with how big that poop-chute is and the bowl shape. One-and-done with a 4.8lpf! (Seriously, they test it with miso-soy stuffed sausages that looks the same. I have photographic evidence) 5. DXV is exceptional and I am so privileged to associate with them all.

I won't bore you with more of the technical photos now (saving them for later) but here are some fun photos from the amazing night at the DXV Showroom at 15 West 20th Street in the Flatiron District: (Those of you who know me understand that I think a boring photo is a boring photo)

Marilyn. What can I say!?!

So now you know the design wives but there's much more on DXV via Instagram. Pay attention to this brand, not because I asked but because they're doing it differently.
