Foreword by Andrew Luketic

What are some of the fun things our design studio likes to do?

We love the opportunity of creating engaging and inspiring retail spaces.

In 2015 our principal designer Corey Klassen was asked to design a portion of the new Armadio Kitchen & Bath showroom on 3000 Cambie St. It was an opportunity to bring out his love of colour into a cabinet showroom and inspire clients in all the options available to them including the stunning hardware.

It must also be mentioned. That when it comes to designing commercial retail spaces, our team utilises our award winning kitchen and bath design skills to tightly plan out the circulation in both the public and support spaces. This is all done before finishes and colours are selected. To make sure the traffic flow needs of your business are mapped out right from the beginning of the design. This means that you and your staff will be efficient. So your labor costs can be controlled along with the design.

Our goal is reinforce the economics of your business using:

  1. Visual Cueing

  2. Lighting

  3. Effective Circulation

  4. A layout that incorporates merchandising vignettes

  5. Advanced planning to meet municipal occupancy permits as quickly as possible

  6. The ability to manage the Building Permit Application in municipalities across Canada

The Difference Between Then & Now

The difference between then and now is that our principal founding designer is now NCIDQ Certified. This means our design capabilities across Canada have increased in both residential and commercial design. In the case of commercial design this usually means that it is a renovation of a commercial space. As you can see by our portfolio that we appreciate a range of quality finishes that meet the long term needs of the business to meet the changing needs of an enterprise.

“When it comes to doing fun things, we kind of like doing projects like this one.”

Yesterday the new Armadio Kitchen & Bath showroom at 3000 Cambie Street had it's grand opening and we couldn't be more pleased with our small contribution. See the full image here.

In other matters, we offer up the idea of an empty space that has opportunity. More to come on this but just watch...

You don't have to look too hard for opportunity. More to come. #CKID #interiordesign #vancouver
